School Events Manager
We are currently seeking to fill the position of School Events Manager.
Wycombe Abbey is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly organised School Events Manager to support the Deputy Head (Strategy and International) in leading the planning and management of whole-School events. Working as part of the Operations Team, the post holder will play a key role in ensuring that all School events are delivered to the highest Wycombe Abbey standard, while also providing support and guidance to departments across the School in the realisation of their event aims. The role will additionally include assisting the Operations Team with a range of administrative and operational duties as required.
The successful candidate will lead the planning, coordination and operational delivery of whole-School events throughout the year. They will work closely with key departments to produce planning schedules, task lists, maps and event resources; manage budgets; oversee external providers; and ensure all Health and Safety, safeguarding and risk assessment requirements are fully met. The role also includes communicating event details to stakeholders, managing attendance at events, and maintaining accurate records and evaluations for future years. The Events Coordinator will take a lead role in planning and delivering all events related to Wycombe Abbey’s 130th anniversary celebrations, working closely with the Chair of the 130 Committee.
Strong organisational and planning experience is essential, along with an understanding of operational procedures within an educational setting; preferably within the independent sector. Candidates must have sound knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and risk assessments, excellent IT skills and meticulous attention to detail. Knowledge of Adobe InDesign or equivalent platforms such as Canva is desirable.
