Surbiton High School is seeking a Gymnastics Choreographer to join the dedicated Gymnastics team as part of our Sports Department.
Gymnastics Choreographer (Senior School)

Pay: Up to £50 per hour (negotiable, based on experience and qualifications)
Hours: Ad hoc, aligned with your availability
Are you passionate about choreography and gymnastics?
We are looking for a creative and experienced Gymnastics Choreographer to join our vibrant Gymnastics Department. This is an exciting opportunity to design and deliver inspiring routines for curriculum lessons, school competitions, and elite squads, working with students aged 11–18 across a range of abilities.
What you’ll do
Create and choreograph individual and group routines for lessons, competitions, and displays.
Coach and motivate students to develop artistry, musicality, and technical precision.
Prepare performers for competitions, including music selection, routine polishing, and performance feedback.
Collaborate with PE staff and coaches to deliver progressive gymnastics programmes.
What we’re looking for
Essential:
British Gymnastics Level 2 (or above) in a relevant discipline.
Proven experience in gymnastics choreography or dance-gymnastics coaching.
Desirable:
Degree/Diploma in Dance, Choreography, Performing Arts, or equivalent experience.
Strong background in artistic or acrobatic gymnastics, dance, or related movement disciplines.
You’ll need excellent communication skills, creativity, and the ability to inspire confidence and discipline in young people. A flexible, collaborative approach and commitment to high standards are key.
