We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our Pre-Prep team. This full-time, permanent role (37.5 hours per week, 36 weeks per year) involves supporting children’s learning and wellbeing in the Nursery.

£12.42 to £15.11 per hour + 16.5% holiday pay

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our Pre-Prep team. This full-time, permanent role (37.5 hours per week, 36 weeks per year) involves supporting children’s learning and wellbeing in the Nursery.

The successful candidate will:

  • Bring previous experience of working with or caring for children (ideally in an educational setting).
  • Have strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Be flexible, patient, and committed to supporting children’s learning and welfare.
  • Show a willingness to undertake relevant training, including safeguarding.
  • Ideally hold a Teaching Assistant qualification and/or experience in phonics, reading support or early years practice (though not essential).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Being a key person to children within the Nursery.
  • Assisting in lessons and supporting children’s learning across the curriculum.
  • Supervising children during break and lunchtimes.
  • Contributing to displays, planning and general classroom support.
  • Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children at all times.
