King’s College and King’s Prep School are thriving, co-educational, independent boarding and day schools for children from 2 to 18 years. The schools are just two-hours from London and situated on separate sites in the heart of the Somerset countryside.

We are seeking to employ a dynamic and enthusiastic Marketing and Social Media Manager to assist in the delivery and implementation of a new brand and the roll out of an exciting marketing strategy.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing and Social Media Manager will work all year round and oversee the day-to-day marketing activities at King’s College and the Prep School.

As a pivotal member of our marketing team, you will handle the day-to-day marketing tasks across both schools and will play a major role in developing key platforms to help tell our amazing pupil stories more widely and establish King’s as a thought leader within the independent education sector.

The successful candidate requires a wide range of skills, including:

• Previous experience working at senior level within marketing
• Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to communicate confidently and effectively with a wide range of people
• Outstanding command of the English language, excellent and engaging copywriting skills
• InDesign or equivalent design skills
• Video editing skills
• Proven ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload while consistently meeting tight deadlines
• A creative mindset with a proven track record of cross-departmental collaboration to deliver measurable outcomes
• A proactive attitude paired with exceptional organisation and planning skills

Desirable, but not essential skills are:

• Knowledge of the Independent Schools sector
