This is a fantastic role for someone who loves building relationships, creating meaningful connections and bringing community stories to life. As our Foundation Engagement Executive, you’ll play a key part in strengthening ties across our alumni, parent and wider school community while supporting the growth and impact of the Hurst Foundation

The Hurst Foundation unites Old Johnians, current and former parents, former staff, Governors and friends of the College. Its purpose is to celebrate the Hurst community, encourage lifelong engagement and support philanthropic activity that enhances opportunities for pupils.

    • Creating compelling communications — newsletters, magazines, social content and website updates
    • Supporting regular giving, donor stewardship and reporting
    • Creating opportunities for alumni to connect professionally and support current pupils

You’ll work closely with the Director of Foundation and colleagues across Marketing, Admissions, Futures and the wider College. Some weekend and evening work is required, with time off in lieu.

    • Database management experience, ideally within a CRM or supporter system
    • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel
    • A positive, professional and engaging presence, especially at events
    • Resilience and adaptability, comfortable juggling varied tasks and shifting priorities

    Desirable Skills & Experience

    • Experience within charity, philanthropy, fundraising or alumni relations
    • Experience working within a school or educational environment
    • Familiarity with social media content planning, analytics or digital engagement
    • An interest in or experience with AI tools for communications and workflow
    • An understanding of independent school environments
    • IDPE qualifications or interest in professional development in this area
    • Strong organisation skills with a proactive, detail‑driven approach
    • Experience supporting events, donor stewardship or community engagement programmes.
