Executive Assistant to the Deputy Head Master - maternity cover

You will provide comprehensive, senior level support to the Deputy Head Master and assist the Senior Management Team more broadly.

The contract:

  • Full time, fixed term contract to cover maternity leave from July 2026
  • 08.00 - 17.00, 45 hours per week for 43 weeks a year (term time plus 10 additional weeks)

The role: The Executive Assistant to the Deputy Head Master will provide comprehensive, senior level support to the Deputy Head Master and assist the Senior Management Team more broadly. You will manage the Deputy Head Master’s diary, attend a wide range of meetings and committees, have oversight of the School’s calendar, and oversee the maintenance of important documents and policies that are essential to ensure the School’s compliance with relevant legislation. The skills: This role will suit a candidate with first-class administrative and inter-personal skills, and a good eye for detail. You will need to use your good judgement, discretion and initiative in all aspects of your work. Your excellent organisational abilities will allow you to manage multiple tasks with short deadlines to ensure that colleagues, senior staff members and parents are assured of a good service. Your strong written and verbal communication skills and tactful, approachable manner will enable you to build strong professional relationships throughout the School.

The role is situated in the offices of Harrow School’s Senior Management Team, working within a friendly and supportive administrative department.
