We have an opportunity for a suitably-qualified counselling practitioner who is registered with a recognised professional body (e.g. BACP or UKCP) to work with our pupils, their families and staff in a safe therapeutic setting.

Salary £30,373.30 per annum (inclusive of holiday pay) Permanent | 32 hours per week | Term-time only (34 weeks per year)

We have an opportunity for a suitably-qualified counselling practitioner who is registered with a recognised professional body (e.g. BACP or UKCP) to work with our pupils, their families and staff in a safe therapeutic setting. Through talking, creative work and play, our counsellors provide children and young people with the opportunity to be heard and to express their feelings.

As a School Counsellor, the successful applicant will be providing a confidential counselling and advice service to our students, impacting significantly on their personal growth and wellbeing. It is essential that applicants hold prior experience of working with children and young people, are committed to individual student dedication together with the ability to support and build excellent working relationships with parent(s)/carer(s) and School staff.

The role will be based in our Wellbeing Centre; a specifically designed calming space located in the heart of the school. All our pupils are introduced to the Wellbeing Centre through their PSHE lessons and activities associated with wellbeing, such as mindfulness, meditation, Yoga and Pilates. This role is a permanent contract working 32 hours per week across four days during term-time (34 weeks per annum).
