What We’re Looking For

Significant experience with the iSAMS academic data management system.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft software, especially Excel.

Experience with querying databases to generate reports and communicate with other software.

Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively.

Professional, organised, and calm under pressure.

Excellent communication skills and a high level of reliability.

Discreet and respectful of confidentiality.

Self-motivated with a flexible and proactive attitude.

Key Responsibilities

The Database Officer will:

Oversee the pupil data lifecycle from entry to departure, in collaboration with Admissions.

Maintain accuracy and integrity of academic databases, including daily registration systems.

Generate and analyse management reports (e.g. class lists, set lists, attendance, academic tracking).

Support database procedures during year-end and new academic year roll-overs.

Provide troubleshooting and support for staff database queries.

Deliver training sessions on iSAMS and other relevant systems.

As part of the wider Academic Administration team:

Assist in the creation and maintenance of sets, classes, and subject-choice lists.

Support the development and upkeep of the academic timetable.

Manage room bookings and scheduling.

Coordinate with the Examinations Office for public exams and results days.

Organise internal exams for Prep and Senior Schools.

Administer and analyse 'Value Added' statistics.

Produce and update academic information booklets for parents.

Support parent-teacher meetings and academic events.

Manage long-term and emergency staff cover.

Handle incoming calls and provide general administrative support.
